Our Story
TWO2eight is a maker’s studio rooted in the Cradle of Humankind, making simple authentic furniture from standard lengths of local wood planks 228cm wide, a deliberate constraint guiding the design principles. It embraces simple methods, equipment and materials accessible in the rural context.
The outcome is restrained, authentic and functional. Concerted use of off-cuts and waste conserves resources and inspires unique, diverse possibilities.
Kromdraai Valley
TWO2eight is a collaboration amongst designers and artisans living and working together in the Kromdraai Valley, aligned with the cultural, social and environmental initiatives led by NIROX and FARMHOUSE58 – enabling skills, unlocking potential and inspiring change.

FARMHOUSE58 embraces the present - declining the culture of excess and appreciating beauty in the impermanent, imperfect and incomplete nature of all things.
Enter The Lawn Pavilion Cafe providing casual family fare - breakfast, lunch, snacks and high tea - on the lawns, under the trees or wherever you lay your head for rest in the park. The Cafe overlooks meandering waterways and NIROX rolling lawns where local seasonal produce sourced from FARM in the VELD is served. Dine alongside light musical entertainment, poetry readings, artists’ open studios, curators’ walkabouts and NIROX’ evolving exhibitions program - on show throughout the 30 hectare park, the Covered Space, Villa-Legodi Centre, Coolroom Studio, Residency Workshop and Screening Room.
